Movie Plot: A huge meteor shower destroys orbiting site shuttle Atlantis before entering the atmosphere and bombing New York City. NASA discovers that the meteor was pushed out of the asteroid belt by a Texas-shaped asteroid, which will affect Earth in 18 days, leading to an extinct-level event that would wipe out all life on the planet. NASA scientists plan to drill a deep shaft into the asteroid and put a nuclear weapon in it, which, when it explodes, will divide the asteroid into two parts that will fly safely past the Earth. NASA contacted Harry Stamp, who is considered the world’s best deep oil driller for assistance. Harry leaves for Houston with his daughter Grace, where he is told about the asteroid and Harry agrees to participate in the mission, but explains that he has his team as well as Chick, Rockhound, Max, Oscar, Bear , Nunan and Grace will also be required.
