Movie Plot: Max Doutcher (Jamie Foxx) is a meticulous Los Angeles cab driver who is trying to earn enough to start his own limousine business. One of the evening’s surrogates is U.S. Justice Department prosecutor Annie Farrell (Jada Pinkett Smith). On the drive to their office, they strike in a conversation and give their business card to Annie Max.
Max’s next fare is Vincent (Tom Cruise). Influenced by Max’s skills in navigating through traffic, Vincent tells Max that he’s in Los Angeles for a night to complete a real estate deal, and offers Max $600 to drive him to multiple locations. Initially reluctant against the rules, Max is eventually forbidden. As Max stops at the first stop, a corpse falls on his car; Vincent manifests himself as a hitman – the body is one of his five goals. He forces Max to hide his body in the torso and continue driving.
In the second stop, Vincent connects the Max to the steering wheel. Max asks a group of young men for help, but two of them rob him and take Vincent’s briefcase. On the way back, Vincent kills them. Then he offers max a drink at a Jazz Club. At the club, Vincent spoke to owner Daniel (Barry Shabka Henley). Vincent then scored daniels his third goal.
