Movie Plot: In 1841, Solomon Northup is an independent African-American man who works as a violinist, lives in Saratoga Springs, New York with his wife and two children. Two white men, Brown and Hamilton, offer them short-term jobs as a musician if he accompanied them to Washington, D.C. Once they come to Northup and distribute it in a slave pen run by a man named Burch, he will visit, however. Northup announced that he is an independent man, only with wooden paddles and then badly beaten him with a leather belt.
Northup was later deported to New Orleans along with other captive African Americans. He is told by others that if he wants to survive in the South, he should be friendly to being a slave and not tell anyone that he is an independent person. A slave merchant named Theophilus Freeman is a fugitive slave from Georgia to Northup “Plot” Identifies and sells it to plantation owner William Ford. Ford likes Northup and gives it a violin. However, tensions between Northup and Plantation Carpenter John Tibets escalate, which ends with Northup and kills the tibats. The Tibetis and their group tried to hang Uprope. Though they are not successful, the Northup is left for hours before the final bite. To save Northup’s life, Ford sells it to another slave owner called Edwin Apps. In the process, Northup tries to explain that he is actually an independent person, but Ford tells him he’s very scared and he can’t help him anymore.
